Thulium Laser

Donor funding supported purchase of Thulium Laser in our Surgical Unit

We were pleased to welcome our new Thulium Fibre laser in our surgical unit in November 2022. The Urology team is ecstatic to have the laser in hand, and say it’s been a game-changer for urologic surgery. The new laser can break down kidney stones in half the time and can take on larger stones than the previous laser. The team also appreciates the laser being much smaller, quiet, and portable. We are grateful to have the laser to better serve our patients here at the health Centre. Thank you to everyone who supported our 2021 Fall Appeal to make this important purchase possible!
